Thanks to good people, I was able to resolve my problem with dual boot installation. Half-a-gig ram, 128MB of X300 ATI card, 14'' screen of this rugged laptop together with SuSE and additional applications for network monitoring. All this cuz I landed my dream job - I am sys admin of the backbone passing through my country. Whole shabeng. 600Mbps under my supervision...
